Shorewood Elementary School Principal Anu Ebbe and her team of Gender Spectrum/Welcoming Schools leaders were presented with this Leadership Award from the national organizations of Welcoming Schools and Gender Spectrum.

The award acknowledges the stellar work that Shorewood has done in the following areas: embracing family diversity, working to end bullying by teaching ally behavior and creating a gender inclusive school environment.
Shorewood has been a pilot school for Welcoming Schools/Gender Spectrum this year and has been involved in the partnership for two prior years.
