MMSD staff can use the report template to create a variety of documents that will be instantly recognizable as having come from the Madison Metropolitan School District. The template contains a cover/title page, a table of contents page, and the first content page with footer that can edited to include the report title and date. Page numbers for subsequent pages will be automatically generated.
- Consider your audience and write appropriately for that audience.
- If your audience includes parents or community members avoid acronyms whenever possible and be sure to explain those used.
- To make your document easy to read and process, be sure to organize information into logical sections and critically edit redundant or extraneous copy.
- It can be helpful to ask a second party to proofread content for spelling and grammar errors.
