Madison Schools are celebrating progress and preparing for the start of the school year, as the district releases its annual report on progress and teachers and school staff return to work today.
“Madison schools are moving forward in a powerful way,” Interim Superintendent Jane Belmore said. “As we embark on a new Strategic Framework aimed at transformational change, we see that the strategies of our first framework have taken hold and yielded steady results. We have a new, stronger baseline to build upon in years to come -- and we are ready to take the next step.”
The district’s annual report details results and highlights some of our students and schools through in-depth profiles, all available at mmsd.org/framework.
Today teachers, principals, and support staff came together today to prepare for the start of the school year. Educators heard from students, community members, and Dr. Bettina Love to kick off their week of preparation for students’ return to school next week.
“We have incredible educators and a clear vision, and we can’t wait to welcome our students back to school next week,” Belmore said.
